The Emirates News Agency, WAM, hosted, in its pavilion at the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2019) in Sharjah, a media briefing on Dubai Expo 2020, which was presented by Najeeb Al Ali, Executive Director of the Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau.
The media briefing was attended by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Executive Director of WAM, and representatives of the media and international news agencies.
Al Ali praised the participation of representatives of the international media in the forum, as well as their role in highlighting the UAE’s positive image, while noting that the forum is a key regional event, with the annual attendance of many officials and experts from throughout the world.
He also thanked WAM for organising the briefing, which aims to highlight the preparations for the launch of the expo next year.
Al Ali presented an introductory summary for the briefing’s participants, while affirming that the international event will be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia for the first time and will welcome the entire world, under the theme, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
He added that the country’s wise leadership aims to support the hosting of the expo in the UAE, while reiterating that the event will have a sustainable impact on communities and a positive effect on people’s lives.
He further added that the UAE is looking forward to the participation of the international media.
Al Rayssi affirmed that the forum is a leading global event, which is an inspirational platform for communications between leading international experts in government communications and advancing people, who are key to the development of all communities.
Representatives of the international media expressed their keenness to attend the expo, while affirming their trust in the UAE, which will again impress the world during the event.
They added that the forum is a key regional event, as it provides a roadmap for the future.
