“New Season of Achievements”- an open letter to UAE residents and officials

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has shared an open letter to UAE residents, ministers and government officials. The letter that has been titled ‘New Season of Achievements’ was shared on all his social media platforms.

Here are the six important messages on issues concerning the performance of government to foreign policy, local economy and the value of optimism.

1. Government officials should be on the field, not at conference halls and forums

Officials, ministers, and leaders should be on the field, among students, traders, citizens and investors in the markets. UAE is an achievement-based government, therefore it does not rely on conferences and forums.

2. Don’t tarnish UAE’s image on social media

Different social media platforms impact the achievements that were built by thousands of dedicated work teams. UAE’s reputation is not for public use to gain more followers. The image of the country and citizens should remain as intact and bright as Sheikh Zayed had aspired it to be.

3. The UAE’s top priority is Emiratisation

The UAE shall take serious actions in regards to Emiratisation and ensure regular follow-up and accountability. This year, efforts will be made so that more UAE nationals will be integrated into the private sector.

4. More projects to boost the country’s economy to the top

The UAE will continue to thrive to make economic leaps to save time by gaining fundamental projects and exceptional ideas that will drive the economy to the top.

5. Government departments must never ignore public complaints

The ultimate goal of the UAE government is to serve the people. Everyone must respond to all enquiries and dedicate their efforts to solve the problems of the good public.

6. The future is bright

Everyone should be optimistic and prepare for a better, greater and more beautiful nation for the future.

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
