DMCC and the Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise – launched the Dubai Design Academy (DDA).
Located at the heart of Dubai’s gold and diamond industry at Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), DDA offers exclusive jewellery-design programme and equip students with innovative design development training and practical experience of the very latest CAD designing and manufacturing technology shaping the modern jewellery design Industry.
DDA is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Government of Dubai, and has an educational partnership with Gemvision USA. Professional courses are designed for various levels of jewellery professionals and enthusiasts, whilst simultaneously creating new career path for young talent.

With technology, innovation and creativity at its heart, DDA is symbolic of DMCC’s approach to supporting trade, and Dubai’s approach to business more generally,”Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said.
The Academy is guided by the concept of “Think, Design, Develop, Trade” which provides both design and manufacturing courses simultaneously. DDA has partnered with Gemvision, a developer of best-in class Computer Aided Design (CAD) technologies, to provide the software and techniques of digital design & manufacturing.
Graduating students will also obtain the CAD software license, which enables them to design unique, complex and intricate pieces with precision.
